Story
Dear Friends and Family,
I’m fundraising for the American Cancer Society at this year’s Spartan Race because cancer has profoundly affected my life. I lost my mom to glioblastoma (brain cancer) in 2020, which devastated me and led to a series of personal struggles. Then, in 2022, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Fortunately, I underwent successful surgery and have been cancer-free since.
In 2023, I took on this race to prove something to myself—my resilience, strength, and ability to push through even when life feels overwhelming. This year, I’m taking it a step further by turning this race into a fundraiser.
My mom fought like hell against cancer and unfortunately lost that battle. My goal is to honor my mother’s tenacity and support others struggling with their fights with cancer by raising funds for the American Cancer Society.
